McKenzie’s Wholemeal Spelt Flour 300g

McKenzie’s Australian Wholemeal Spelt Flour is an ancient wheat. This healthy flour is sweeter and lighter than wheat flour^, with a subtle nutty flavour.

Australian wholemeal spelt flour (100%) (wheat).

  • Great for cakes, pancakes, breads & muffins

  • Get the best results:
    1. ^Wholemeal spelt flour, although versatile, is not a direct substitute for wheat flour, so only use in tried and tested recipes.
    2. When substituting regular flour for spelt flour, in general, less liquid is required.
    3. Avoid over mixing or beating as this may result in a drier and more crumbly texture.
    4. If using in recipes which require rising, add a little more baking powder or yeast.
