Bacon and Lentil Soup

| 500g | bacon bones |
| 250g | bacon pieces, roughly chopped |
| 1 medium | onion, chopped |
| 190g | McKenzie's Red Lentils |
| 1 large | parsnip, chopped |
| 1 stick | celery, chopped |
| 2 medium | carrots, chopped |
| 1 medium | swede, chopped |
| 2 1/4 litres | water |
Directions
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a large pan.
Step 2
Cover and simmer for about 60-90 minutes or until thickened, stirring ocassionally. Discard bacon bones before serving.
Step 3
Garnish with parsley if desired.
