2 tablespoons self raising flour
1/2 cup McKenzie's Arrowroot
1 dessertspoon golden syrup
3/4 cup castor sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon cocoa
2 teaspoon McKenzie's Ground Ginger
1 teaspoon McKenzie's Ground Cinnamon
Directions
Step 1
Beat egg whites until stiff, add sugar gradually, then yolks and golden syrup.
Step 2
Sift McKenzie's Arrowroot, self raising flour, cocoa, McKenzie's Ground Ginger,McKenzie's Ground Cinnamon three times and fold in.
Step 3
Divide mixture into two 18cm (7inch) cake tins which have been lined on the base and well greased and floured.
Step 4
Bake in moderate oven for approximately 25 minutes.
Step 5
Cool slightly before removing from tins. When completely cool, fill with whipped cream and ice with lemon icing or dust with icing sugar.
