Coconut & Orange Blossom Biscuits

Aromatic and tasty, these biscuits are perfect for an afternoon tea get together.

1 1/2 cups plain flour
3 teaspoons Ward's Baking Powder
80 grams butter, softened
3/4 cup caster sugar
2 teaspoons orange blossom water
1 egg
1 1/4 cups McKenzie's Desiccated Coconut
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180'C and line a large tray with greaseproof paper.
Step 2
Sift together the flour and Ward's Baking Powder.
Step 3
Cream the butter, sugar and orange blossom water together until light and fluffy. Add the egg and mix well.
Step 4
Add the McKenzie's Desiccated Coconut and flour, mix until a soft dough has formed.
Step 5
Roll tablespoons of mixture into balls. Place on prepared tray leaving space to allow for spreading. Flatten slightly with a fork and bake for 20 minutes until lightly golden in colour.
Step 6
Cool on the trays for 5 minutes, transfer to a cooling rack.

Note: Orange blossom water is available from good continental delicatessens.
