Yummy Slow Cooker Pea and Ham Soup
A hearty Slow Cooker Pea and Ham soup

| 1 | Canola Oil Cooking Spray |
| 1 | Large Ham Hock |
| 3 | Medium Carrots (5mm Sliced) |
| 3 | Medium Brown Onions (Diced) |
| ½ | Celery (5mm Sliced) |
| 1 | Turnip (Diced 5mm) |
| 3 | Bay Leaves |
| 1 Litre | Water |
| 1 | Parsley to Garnish (Chopped) |
| 500g (rinsed & drained) | McKenzie's Yellow Split Peas |
| 10 | McKenzie's Whole Black Peppercorns |
| To taste | McKenzie's Australian Natural Sea Salt |
Directions
Step 1
Spray Slow Cooker with Canola Oil Cooking Spray
Step 2
Layer all ingredients except salt within the 6.5 Litre Slow Cooker
Step 3
Top up with water
Step 4
Cover and cook on ‘Low’ for 6-8 hours until ham is falling from the hocks
Step 5
Remove the bones and skin from the soup and cut off any remaining meat
Step 6
Return meat to the soup
Step 7
Cover and cook on low until peas until peas are very soft and nearly disintegrating
Step 8
Season to taste
Step 9
Garnish with parsley and serve with freshly baked bread rolls
