Danieka's Split Pea Soup
A winter warmer cooked in the Slow Cooker - Split Pea Soup - yum!

| 500g | McKenzie's Green Split Peas |
| 8 cups | chicken broth |
| 1 | smoked ham bone |
| 1 1/2 cups | carrots chopped |
| 1 cup | onion finely chopped |
| 1 cup | celery chopped |
| 2 cloves | garlic minced |
| 2 | McKenzie's Bay Leaves |
| To taste | McKenzie's Table Friendly Ground Black Pepper |
| To taste | McKenzie's Table Friendly Fine Table Salt |
Directions
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 4 to 5 hours, until peas are tender.
Step 2
Remove McKenzie's Bay Leaves and smoked ham bone. Season to taste with McKenzie's Table Friendly Ground Black Pepper and McKenzie's Table Friendly Fine Table Salt before serving.
