Pamela's Lamb Shank & Red Lentil Soup

A tasty lamb shank and red lentil soup.

1 dessertspoon vegetable stock powder
To taste McKenzie's Whole Black Peppercorns
To taste McKenzie's Natural Sea Salt
1 1/2 litres water
1 medium onion chopped
1 lamb shank
1 packet McKenzie's Homestyle Soup Hearty Red Lentil
1 bottle tomato pasta sauce
1 cup thin pasta or noodles
Toasted croutons
Grated parmesan
Directions
Step 1
Place lamb shank and chopped onion into a large saucepan with water, add McKenzie's Natural Sea Salt, McKenzie's Whole Black Peppercorns and vegetable stock, bring to boil and then simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Add McKenzie's Homestyle Soup Hearty Red Lentil and tomato pasta sauce and cook for 1 hour. Turn off heat, add pasta or noodles broken into small pieces, leave to cool. Heat to serve with toasted croutons and parmesan cheese.
